Hi Milton Support Group volunteers,
*Availability*
With the recent changes to the lockdown restrictions, we realise that some
of you might be less available to volunteer now than you previously were -
for instance, with greater work commitments, or changes to childcare
arrangements. If this is the case for you, please let us know via the
covidmilton(a)gmail.com address, and we can update your details.
*Ongoing Support*
The County Council are trying to gauge the level of support that volunteer
groups such as ours are providing. If you are providing ongoing support to
someone, please could you email covidmilton(a)gmail.com with a rough idea of
what you've helped with over the last month, and how often? E.g. "3 x
shopping & 1 x prescription for Mr Smith"
*Sharing the Load*
Wonderfully, we have volunteers who we have not yet needed to ask to
support anyone. If you are supporting someone, and would appreciate
sharing the load with someone else, or even stepping back and having
someone else take a turn, please do get in touch. We don't want
volunteering to become a burden on anyone.
*Zoom Meeting - tonight (and Thursday)!*
We've not yet had any kind of big meeting where all the volunteers can
come, meet the core group, ask questions and hear any updates on how things
have been going, and might progress over time. So, we've found a couple of
time slots where (most of) the core group are available. Hopefully you can
join us in a Zoom call for one of those. The first is tonight - sorry for
the extremely late notice!
